We’re looking forward to the market on the first Saturday of August back on Overton Farm. It’s a busy time of year with loads of fresh produce on the go the soft fruit in abundance, perfect for jam making. Arthur the resident pony is champing at the bit to get back out in the field and give all those budding equestrians a chance to practise their riding skills, he’ll be in his usual spot beside the ride on tractors and farm toys. The archery club will be set up so if you’ve been watching the Olympics and think that this is something you could do well now’s your chance. Our regular producers are coming along, Alexander Taylor bakery with delicious sour dough breads and morning rolls, Lochbyre Rare Breed Meat sausages, pork roasting joints and pulled pork rolls, Carmichael Venison, Tareglin Smokehouse smoking haddies at the market, Perthshire Preserves with award winning jams and chutneys, St Bride’s Free Range Poultry for the best chicken for a Sunday roast and Caurnie Soap made from home grown plants and essential oils naturally fragrant and a must for allergy sufferers.
