AJ Morris: Director
AJ, St Brides Poultry. In the main, AJ deals with most of the admin problems of the group such as securing the necessary planning consents and market operator licences, without which the markets cannot function. She deals directly with many customers, new and old.
Dominic Smith: Director
The fourth member of the Board is Dominic Smith of Sunnyside Farm, Sanquhar. Until the end of the 20th century, Dominic & his parents were committed to the heating and plumbing Industry with a thriving business in Lytham St Annes. Frustration with Big Brother syndrome forced the Smith family to look for a new calmer life. They chose farming!!! Since buying their 170 acre farm, near Sanquhar, they have established another thriving business. Concentrating on the production of quality pork and veal initially, they quickly established a strong wholesale and retail customer base. They have abandoned their Aberdeen Angus cattle and now produce succulent Dexter beef. Well worth a try. Dom is the quiet one on the board with no specific remit at the moment but he brings to the table, not only good humour but good sound practical business acumen.”
Anne Johnson: Secretary/Treasurer
Anne, owner of Vanilla Treats, is the secretary and treasurer of LFML. The skills and systems she developed in her previous career have been neatly modified to suit the market business. An asset to the business she keeps the Directors under control.
