Hamilton Market

It is a lovely day today and our producers are already gearing up for a return to HAMILTON on SATURDAY, 16th OCTOBER.    This is us back on our normal weekend so we hope to see many of you there.  We will be trading between 9am and 1pm or there about.    We hope to have 15 stalls this week.

Our new producer, The Scottish Tapas Company, who had their first outing at Overton Farm are looking forward to coming to Hamilton & Clarkston.    They have an exciting, quality product to offer and this compliments the other traders.    If they don’t grow it they source other ingredients from other Ayrshire Farms.    Remember Ann Dorward’s Dunlop award winning cheese?    Mrs Grumpytam used to sell it.    Well, this cheese is used in some of the Scottish Tapas dishes.   We have sanctioned this trader to sell this cheese as it was very popular in the past.

The Island Cheese Company are back, having had 2 months away so our compliment of stalls is higher than it has been for sometime.

Coming up soon is Clarkston [23rd Oct] and Biggar [30th Oct] so get the dates in your diary if it is your market.

Now….. in November [13th] we return to CARLUKE.     We had planned to have a Christmas Food & Craft on this day, utilising the whole Lifestyle Centre Hall.   Our grand idea has been dashed!    Owing to a glitch in South Lanarkshire Council’s booking arrangements they had let the hall to another party.    Fortunately, the error has been acknowledged and that we had made a booking.    The compromise is that we WILL have half the hall as we normally have and we will easily fill this with food & some crafts.    There will be more info in later bulletins.

In the meantime we look forward to seeing you at HAMILTON on this coming SATURDAY.
