HAMILTON MARKET – 19th March

We are back in HAMILTON, this Saturday, SATURDAY, 19th March with our normal trading hours of 9am till 1pm.     We hope to have 15 stalls so it could be a good day.    The weather is bound to be good.

We have 3 new producers coming on stream, we hope.   To Hamilton we have BORDER COUNTY FOODS [from BRAMPTON] who deal with GAME which they process into some lovely things.    They may be with us on Saturday but if not it will be April.    We are trying to persuade them to come to Overton Farm and Strathaven.    The two other new firms are going to come to CLARKSTON.   V CUISINE LTD will be offering VEGETARIAN DISHES and hot soup for Market consumption – good for cold days!     GARNGAD FOODS will be offering SOUPS for home consumption, various pates and salad dressings.   We would hope to persuade these last two to come to all of our markets.    We will work on them.

Thanks to all the Strathaven people who turned up on Saturday.    We appreciated your custom.    All being well we hope to be back in Strathaven in APRIL when we will be assisting The Strathaven Business Association run their trial Town Centre market.    More details nearer the time.

And now for some bad news.    Our two indoor markets in Biggar and Carluke have not been successful and they are no longer viable to run.    So with immediate effect we have cancelled any future markets there.    We do thank those people who have supported us this past year and perhaps we might return if we can develop a good site out of doors.

So now COME ON DOWN to HAMILTON on Saturday.   We look forward to seeing you again.
