haggisThis Saturday we return to Hamilton Town Centre for our first market of 2013. After our festive break we are well rested and looking forward to bringing some great fresh produce to the market.

With Burns night approaching our stall holders have promised some great ingredients for a traditional supper. St Bride’s will have delicious chicken for cock a leekie soup with Overton Farm supplying the leeks and home grown neeps and tatties to accompany their superb haggis, you will be spoilt for choice whether it’s Fencebay’s Cullen Skink or smoked fish, Carmichael Estate home bred meats, venison, lamb and beef or Lochbyre succulent pork joints the choice is yours.

Some seasonal goodies are starting to come through with tender forced rhubarb, or Seville oranges for marmalade. Alexander Taylor Bakery will be there with artisan sour dough breads, fluffy rolls and pastries. Joining us again after December’s success is Rice n Spicy with some winter warming authentic curries.

Looking forward to our first farmers’ market of the year…….
