Clarkston Farmers’ Market this Saturday 24th August from 9 till 1pm at Station Car Park

carmichael lambsThis Saturday we’re looking forward to our return to our usual pitch at the station car park. With some great local produce around such as new season beetroot, freshly pulled tatties and plenty of berries.

Carmichael Estate Meat have promised us some delicious new season lamb which is Scottish Blackface crossed with Border Leicester and Texel tups bred to thrive on the 1,000 feet hills and harsh winters on the Carmichael Estate near Biggar. All Carmichael livestock are home bred with nothing bought in from outside thus minimising disease and guaranteeing quality animal welfare throughout the rearing and fattening process through to farm gate slaughter. So whether you are looking for a roasting joint or just some great quality lamb mince for a Shepherds pie there will be something available to try this delicious meat.

All our usual gang will be there with fresh fish, Old Spot pork, free range poultry, artisan bread, beer, homebaking come along for some great quality food shopping.

Looking forward to seeing you there……
