This Saturday we return to Overton Farm for our Clyde Valley market. This month sees the start of the stone fruit season so it’s a great time to get the baking tins and the jeely pan out. With lovely damsons available there are some great recipes for eating now and also for preparation for the colder months so whether you’re in the mood for making some damson gin for the festive season, some jam & chutney or to add some fruitiness to an autumnal recipe pop along on Saturday for plums and damsons. There are also loads of tomatoes from the Clyde Valley from the Young’s own greenhouses they come in all varieties for salads & sandwiches and there are some mixed boxes for chutney making.
Along with our great local produce including venison, beef, lamb, free range chicken, rare breed pork, artisan bread and natural skin care there will have all the usual kids activities so come along for a great morning of local shopping.
