One of our largest markets, Hamilton Farmers Market takes place every month and has a loyal band of happy visitors. The market is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

i would love to see a traditional marker maybe on a smaller scale than lanark maybe some craft stalls my freinds market in louth had a maje an apron day all that was needed was a mediam sized gazebo some craft materials charging a few pocket money priced to cover time and materials it coul be seasonale too maybe christmas cards and small gifts it gets the new generation of market goers interested at an early age besides it could be great fun

Thanks for your comment Heather, I’ll pass it on to the directors at the monthly meeting. When the market is at Overton farm we do kids activities, last month we decorated biscuits, we plant seeds and there is a kids play area set up under a gazebo. It’s a lovely morning there and quite often we do pony rides.

I’m looking forward to attending the market for the first time on December 17! Hoping the weather’s good enough – does the snow mean it won’t go on? Will there be a notice on the website if it’s not to go ahead due to weather?
(Here’s hoping the snow’s not as bad as last year. I’d really like to attend the market and see what I can pick up for Christmas dinner!)
