It’s a five Saturday month so no market this Saturday, take the time to get your Christmas food shopping list together. Have a look at our producers pages for some festive inspiration. Many of our stall holders deliver, have farm shops or retailers stocking their produce.
We’ll be back on the 6th December at Overton Farmers’ Market, Crossford in the Clyde Valley for a bumper festive market. So thinking caps on, note pad ready and sharpen that pencil!

It’s Clarkston Farmers’ Market this Saturday and from 9 till 1pm we will have our regular stallholders selling their wonderful produce as normal, at 12.30 the team from the Clarkston Bid have organised the annual Extravaganza light switch on event until 5pm some of our producers will stay all day to join in the fun. This is a great opportunity to get your Christmas orders in ready to pick up at our December market just before the big day!
If you’re looking for some artisan beers from Alesela, natural skincare from Caurnie Soaperie, fresh fish from Fencebay, Old Spot pork from Lochbyre, bread from the Battlefield Bakery, a wee coffee & chat from the South Church or venison from Carmichael Estate then make sure you pop along before 1pm the rest of our producers Overton Farm Shop, St Bride’s Poultry, Thorntonhall Ice Cream, chilli preserves from Galloway Chillies. chocolate letters from Marleston Chocolate, fudge from The wee Fudge, cup cakes from Dotty Designs, desserts from Saucy desserts will all be staying on for the numerous activities including carol singing contest, rickshaw rides, kids rides, Santa and loads more. Many of our producers will be rustling up tasty snacks and have some great gift ideas.

Join us this Saturday at Hamilton Farmers’ Market, we are delighted that The Battlefield Bakery from Drumclog, Strathaven will be joining us with their selection of freshly baked bread from their farmhouse bakery. Our regular producers are there Overton Farm with homegrown root veggies, apples from their Clyde Valley orchard, beef veal and beef from their farm, Carmichael Estate Meat will be bringing farmed venison, beef and lamb from the foot of Tinto Hill and Fencebay Fisheries from Largs with fresh and smoked fish.

Join us this Saturday in the Clyde Valley and stock up on some great ingredients for a bit of comfort eating. with the dark nights upon us it’s time to coorie in with some tasty treats rustle up some warming stews, winter bakes and home made soups to chase away the chill. Carmichael Estate Meat will be there with farmed and wild venison, beef & lamb from their farm at the foot of Tinto Hill, Overton Farm Shop has delicious veal, lamb and beef as well as seasonal fruit & veg such as pumpkins (recipe for photo click here), squash, apples, sprouts and home grown root veg, St Bride’s Free Range poultry brings the tastiest chickens for roasting as well as some pies and savouries, Rice n Spicy will have their delicious Punjab ready meals for the ultimate curry night and for those who would like to treat someone to their Curry Masterclass will have gift vouchers on hand for a great gift idea, Galloway Chillies will crank up the heat with their chilli preserves, Saucy Desserts will warm your cockles with their toothsome sticky toffee pudding and dessert range and Caurnie Soap will have their usual selection of natural skincare. We have two new stallholders Dotty Designs who make delicious cup cakes and The Battlefield Bakery with a great selection of breads and baked goods.
After all that shopping pop into The Oven Café for some breakfast or lunch……

There are tasty choices for warming slow cooked meals take your pick from beef, lamb, veal and venison from Overton Farm or how about some Old Spot pork chops from Lochbyre Rare Breed Meat to try the recipe in the photo , St Bride’s Free Range Poultry will be there with delicious chickens for a Sunday roast, Island Cheese for some savoury treats and Galloway Chillies have the perfect preserves to accompany. Fresh fish from Fencebay, try their Cullen Skink, delicious fudge from The Wee Fudge, Alesela are back with an amazing selection of artisan beers, Caurnie Soaperie with natural skincare and we have a new baker; The Battlefield Bakery.
