It’s Clarkston Farmers’ Market this Saturday 23rd August, 9 till 1pm at the Station Car Park.

tatties newWe’re really looking forward to our August Clarkston Farmers’ Market this Saturday. With so much great produce to choose from our stall holders including Thorntonhall Ice Cream with some delicious new flavours how about Strawberry Pavlova. Lemon Curd or Cherry Ripple flavours? Carmichael Estate with venison, beef and lamb all bred and reared at the foot of Tinto Hill, pick up some wild roe deer loin stakes recently awarded 2 gold stars at the Great Taste Awards, St Bride’s Free Range Poultry with delicious chickens, Overton Farm Shop with tomatoes & cucumbers from their Clyde Valley green houses, tatties, veal, beef and lamb, Fencebay Fisheries with smoked and fresh fish, The Wee Fudge with award winning fudge in a myriad of flavours, Alexander Taylor Bakery with sourdough & traditional breads and patisserie, Island Cheese with flavoured cheddar from Arran, back again Galloway Chillies with fiery chilli preserves and the South Church with chat, kids fun and free coffee.

Strathaven Farmers’ Market, this Saturday 9th August, 9 till 1pm Common Green Car Park.

venison piesIt’s Strathaven Farmers’ Market this Saturday, so why not round off the school holidays with a trip to the farmers’ market and pick up some great local food shopping.

This month we have venison, lamb & beef from Carmichael Estate in Biggar, home grown berries, tomatoes and tatties along with home bred beef, lamb & veal from Overton Farm in the Clyde Valley, artisan bread from Alexander Taylor Bakery & delicious free range chickens from St Bride’s Farm, Strathaven. It’s Overton Farmers’ Market this Saturday 2nd August from 9 till 1pm, Crossford, Clyde Valley.

tomato picWe’re back in the sunny Clyde Valley this Saturday 2nd August, join us for local produce at it’s best. With all this sunshine we have loads of berries, cucumbers and tomatoes bursting out of the greenhouses; all from the Clyde Valley, freshly dug tatties, fantastic local meat, artisan bread fresh from the oven and some great recipe ready meals. After all that shopping you can stop by the newly opened ‘The Oven @ Overton Farm’ café for some breakfast, lunch or coffee and home baked cake.

Please note that Carmichael Estate Farm Meats will be leaving the market about midday!

Clarkston Farmers’ Market this Saturday 26th July, 9 till 1pm, Station Car Park

galloway chilliesIt’s Clarkston Farmers’ Market this Saturday, we have a full compliment of stalls this month and are delighted to welcome a new producer GALLOWAY CHILLIES with a range of chilli based preserve products including their amazing chilli jam. Come along this weekend and browse our stalls overflowing with some freshly harvested produce from the Clyde Valley including, tomatoes, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, cucumbers and freshly dug new potatoes. Excellent varieties and quality of meats available steaks for the barbeque, Old Spot Pork barbeque packs, venison, veal and new season lamb. We have fresh and smoked fish, free range chickens, Scottish cheese, and many of our producers make some great recipe dishes ready to pop in the oven when you don’t feel like cooking. There will be dairy ice cream, artisan bread, handmade fudge, natural soap & some unique beers to choose from.
